Overview
The Chief Registrar at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a senior leadership and management development role for higher specialty trainees (ST4+) with an existing National Training Number. It is a strategic, high-impact role, allowing senior trainees to lead meaningful improvements in patient care, staff experience and system efficiency whilst gaining advanced leadership training supported by the RCP.
Working with the Acute Medicine teams in one of the most ethnically diverse boroughs in the UK will offer the Chief Registrar’s a range of experience in the interpretation of microbiology laboratory results and the management of infectious and tropical diseases in both inpatients and ambulatory medicine patients.
The Chief Registrar role is modelled on the definition of a chief resident in the report of the RCP Future Hospital Commission (Future hospital: caring for medical patients).
