Contract: 6-12 months (daily rate or FTC)

Start: February

Location: North West, Hybrid

We are seeking an Interim Regulatory & Environmental Lawyer to support a sustained increase in workload across contentious regulatory, environmental and health & safety matters.

The Role

You will advise on a broad range of contentious regulatory and environmental matters, including:

• Environmental regulation and compliance
• Contentious regulatory issues and enforcement matters
• Health & Safety investigations and incident response
• Liaising with regulators and external counsel
• Supporting litigation and dispute‑led matters where required
• Providing pragmatic, risk‑based legal advice to the business

A litigation background (either from private practice or in‑house) is desirable, given the nature of the work.

The Candidate

We are open on background and happy to consider candidates from private practice, in‑house or a regulatory environment. xwzovoh

You will ideally have:

• 5+ years’ PQE (although this is flexible depending on experience)
• Strong experience in contentious regulatory and/or environmental law
• Exposure to health & Safety matters
• Confidence operating autonomously in an interim role
• The ability to hit the ground running in a fast‑paced environment
