This is a significant opportunity for a Corporate Tax Director (Compliance-Focused) to join a key department and play a vital role in the firm’s continued success.

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Oversee and manage a substantial portfolio of corporate tax compliance engagements for a diverse range of clients.
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and submission of corporate tax returns, computations, and related filings, adhering to all statutory deadlines.
• Lead and review complex corporate tax compliance projects, identifying and resolving technical issues.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients on compliance matters, providing clear explanations and building strong, trusted relationships.
• Liaise proactively with HMRC on behalf of clients, managing enquiries and resolving disputes effectively.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the corporate tax compliance function, leveraging technology where appropriate.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated team of corporate tax professionals, from junior staff to managers, fostering a culture of precision and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with partners and other tax specialists to ensure a holistic approach to client service, referring advisory opportunities as they arise.
• Stay abreast of all relevant UK corporate tax legislation changes and their practical implications for compliance.

We are seeking a professional who possesses:

• CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification, with a strong focus on corporate tax.
• Extensive and demonstrable experience in corporate tax compliance, gained within a reputable accountancy firm (mid-tier or larger preferred).
• A deep and up-to-date technical understanding of UK corporate tax legislation and its practical application to compliance.
• Proven experience in managing a large and varied client portfolio, with exceptional organisational skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing and motivating staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex tax matters clearly to clients and colleagues.
• A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to contribute to operational excellence.
