Dubai based, Director - Investment Portfolio Analytics - Tier 1 fund

We are advising a leading institutional investor in the GCC on the appointment of a Senior Manager within its Performance Analytics function. You will work closely with the COO, Finance, and Investment teams, operating at the intersection of investment performance, data governance, and strategic analytics.

Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Performance & Analytics

• Own and manage the end-to-end corporate performance management cycle, including KPI framework design, target setting, scenario analysis, and preparation of materials for senior management and board-level committees.
• Analyse organisation-wide performance, benchmark outcomes against peer institutions, and coordinate internal validation and approval of performance frameworks.
• Ensure alignment between corporate KPIs and strategic objectives, supporting consistent implementation across business lines and functions.
• Provide analytical support to senior departments—particularly investment teams—across benchmarking, market analysis, valuation inputs, quarterly performance reviews, and board materials.

Macro, Factor & Market Analysis

• Monitor global macroeconomic conditions and market developments, delivering data-driven insights to inform investment decision-making.
• Analyse mainstream and alternative datasets to identify trends, risk factors, and performance drivers relevant to portfolio oversight.

Data, Systems & Infrastructure

• Serve as the internal subject‑matter lead for SimCorp, overseeing data inputs, architecture, governance standards, and reporting enhancements.
• Drive improvements in data quality, automation, and analytics capabilities across the organisation, in partnership with technology and investment teams.

Strategic Support to the COO

• Act as a trusted analytical partner to the COO on cross‑functional initiatives, including strategy development, internal communications, research projects, operational reviews, and ad‑hoc strategic assignments.
• Lead or contribute to initiatives aimed at standardising analytics, strengthening performance reporting, and elevating organisational reporting standards.

Candidate Profile

• 10 –14+ years of progressively senior experience in performance analytics, investment performance, or financial data roles within institutional investment organisations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; CFA designation strongly preferred.
• Strong foundation in macroeconomics, financial markets, and performance measurement methodologies.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative capabilities, with the ability to distil complex analysis into clear insights for senior and board‑level audiences.
• Demonstrated experience in KPI design, performance reporting, and benchmarking against global institutional standards.
• Solid understanding of data governance principles and modern analytics platforms; hands‑on SimCorp experience is a significant advantage.
