Role Overview – Hardware Design Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to design, develop, and support medical, diagnostic, and scientific devices. The role covers the full hardware lifecycle, with a strong focus on robust electronics design, low-power and battery-powered systems, embedded platforms, testing, firmware integration, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design hardware architectures, schematics, and PCBs for battery-powered and embedded systems
- Lead hardware development from requirements through prototyping, testing, and production support
- Ensure compliance with medical and industrial standards (IEC 60601, 61326, 60335, ISO 13485)
- Develop and execute test plans, including EMC testing and fault diagnosis
- Collaborate with software, firmware, and manufacturing teams
- Maintain clear design, test, and compliance documentation
- Support manufacturing and resolve hardware performance issues
- Stay current with low-power design, BLE, RF, and embedded technologies
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience developing medical, diagnostic, or scientific devices
- Strong expertise in analogue, digital, RF, low-power, and embedded systems
- Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and hardware debugging
- Experience with EMC testing and regulatory compliance
- Hands-on embedded firmware development experience
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
