The Procurement Assistant is responsible for:

Actively supports the Engineering & Quality functions for expediting of critical documentation.

  • Coordinates with relevant internal functions any supplier deviation requests from specifications (NCP), assessing the effect thereof on achieving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost (SQDC) targets.
  • process the NC in the appropriate tool and maintain smart sheets
  • Coordinate all NCP/NCR and ensure that material is returned to the Supplier in a timely manner
  • Assist the Procurement Lead in expediting the return of repaired components
  • Shall support Sourcing team for claim management COPQ in case of supplier delays or Quality issues.
  • Will support the Sourcing team for issuing Contractual Letters to Suppliers in accordance to Quality issues. xwzovoh
  • Responsible for completing the Import Process on-line for all Imports where GE is responsible for customs clearance.

Desired profile:

  • Minimum 1-3 years in a Procurement / Purchasing role (Direct materials)
  • Understanding of Logistics, preferably in imports
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software (SAP)
  • Commercial awareness (Pay Terms, Warranty, LD’s)
