General Description

The Umbilical Services Product Line Manager’s (PLM) role is to identify and develop growth opportunities for umbilical services as part of the full-service lifecycle from commissioning to maintenance and decommissioning.

The PLM will be responsible for expanding on previous product line success in developing a future strategy, marketing and sales along with engaging with industry partners to develop the company service line.

In this new role, the PLM will provide guidance and direction to internal stakeholders, ensuring that the company achieves its strategic goals and business objectives.

Key Work Areas:

  • Lead the management and development of the umbilical service line globally by working closely with the managing director along with eastern and western hemisphere commercial leads
  • Develop and implement a global commercial strategy for the umbilical services business according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth.
  • Lead sales and business development activities for the umbilical services business, working in conjunction with eastern and western hemisphere commercial leads to generate opportunities and develop existing and new leads for the umbilical services business.
  • Evaluate the umbilical services business competitive environment on a continual basis and strategically evaluate new services or business opportunities.
  • Continuously develop personal network including online marketing campaigns, industry events and client entertainment.
  • Utilising Paradigm CRM system, manage contacts, communication with contacts and opportunities.
  • Preparation of Client presentations, proposals and CTR’s for issue to client organisations.
  • Closing new business deals by managing customer requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.

  • Locating potential business deals by contracting potential strategic partners and exploring opportunities.
  • Pro-actively communicate with peers and colleagues concerning pertinent market and customer intelligence related to pricing, specifications, market and product development, operations support and identification of trends, etc.
  • Liaise and support eastern and western hemisphere commercial leads and marketing departmental to focus online and digital marketing strategy to suit the umbilical services business.
  • Support with budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably expected in the interest of the business.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in umbilical engineering, operations and commercial business.
  • Experience in Business Development, sales, commercial, contracts and leadership.
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting. xwzovoh
