I’m currently working with a leading energy client who is looking to recruit Commercial Engineers in your local area, open to working away from home 1–2 weeks per month as part of a structured transient role.

Essential Requirements

• Proven UK-based industry experience
• Valid CCN1 & MET1 qualifications

Commercial sites only – no domestic installs

No on-call rota – evenings and weekends are yours

Structured weekday shifts: 6–3 | 8–5 | 11–7

Clear career progression with upskilling in:

• Three-Phase
• CT
• Medium Pressure metering

Available Roles

Two roles are available to suit different experience levels:

Elite Dual Fuel Engineer

£43,260 basic | OTE £50K–£55K

Includes Warrant Officer duties and customer-friendly debt resolution visits. Full training and ongoing support provided.

Dual Fuel Only (Non-Elite)

£38,110 basic

Focused purely on commercial metering — no warrant or debt-related work.

Transient Working Overview

• Work away from home 1–2 weeks per month
• Contractually aligned to Transient 1 or Transient 2
• Exact pattern agreed at interview stage

Typical Transient Week

• Travel on Sunday
• Work Monday–Thursday (8:00am–7:00pm)
• Return home Friday

Pay & Allowances

All travel time paid at overtime rates (x1.5 / x1)

£25 per night sustenance allowance

£40 per night transient payment

Paid for each night spent working away from home
