Veterinary Surgeon
General Description
We are recruiting Veterinary Surgeons across Central London and the surrounding region, working with a mix of independent practices, established veterinary groups, and veterinary hospitals.
The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.
Whether you are looking for a first-opinion GP role, a surgery-heavy caseload, or a clinically progressive hospital environment, we consistently recruit for permanent positions that suit different experience levels and long-term career plans.
Many practices offer flexible rota patterns, including part-time hours, four-day working weeks, and reduced weekend commitments. A large proportion of roles are available with no out-of-hours, or with shared and well-supported OOH rotas where required.
Typical responsibilities include consultations, diagnostics, routine soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, imaging interpretation, case management, clinical record-keeping, and client communication. Some roles also offer structured mentorship, certificate funding, or progression into Senior or Lead Vet positions.
Typical Benefits Package:
- Competitive base salary (usually £48,000–£85,000+)
- Generous CPD allowance (certificate funding available at many practices)
- Paid RCVS, VDS, and professional memberships
- 5–6 weeks holiday plus bank holidays
- Pension scheme
- Relocation assistance (when offered)
- Enhanced parental and sick pay schemes (practice dependent)
- Private health cover or wellbeing benefits (varies by employer)
