Overview

Mercor, a San Francisco-based platform connecting elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs, is hiring a Voice Actor to support its audio data annotation projects. This is a remote, contract-based opportunity open to UK-based applicants, ideal for individuals with excellent verbal communication skills and a passion for voice work. You’ll collaborate with AI researchers to produce high-quality spoken descriptions that help train next-generation AI models.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate clear, natural-sounding spoken descriptions for a series of images
• Record short audio clips (2-3 minutes each) using provided tools or platforms
• Ensure recordings are high quality and free from background noise
• Follow linguistic, timing, and stylistic guidelines from the research team
• Collaborate with QA and AI teams to review and improve data quality
• Work independently and maintain consistency across repetitive tasks

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have:

• Excellent verbal communication and enunciation
• Native or near-native fluency in English
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow annotation guidelines

Preferred:

• Experience with voice recording or data annotation
• Fluency in additional languages

Compensation & Terms

• Rate: $21/hour
