About the Role
Clark Wood are partnering with a highly regarded firm of accountants in Maidstone, seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join their growing team.
As an Accounts Manager, you will lead client account preparation, manage teams, ensure compliance with standards, and meet deadlines. You will handle complex financial matters, maintain client relationships, and provide advisory services. Your role ensures high‑quality service delivery and contributes to team and practice growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients from various industry sectors.
- Support partners and clients with bespoke queries and ad hoc project work.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts and management accounts.
- Prepare and review tax computations and returns.
- Act as the primary point of contact for an array of clients.
- Manage your own billing, workload, and that of the team efficiently to exceed client expectations.
- Review the work of junior staff, providing guidance and support as required.
Qualifications
- ACCA/ACA qualified with strong and varied general practice experience.
- Excellent communication skills to build and maintain successful relationships with multiple clients.
