General Description

We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a CAMHS eating disorder Consultant to work for a private inpatient service based in Southwest London. This is a part time role.

Salary: up to £96,000 per annum

Position: CAMHS eating disorder Consultant

Hours: Part time – 22.5 hours per week (but possible flexibility to increase from 3 days to 4 days)

Setting: 18 bed ward shared between 2 consultants

Location: Southwest London

For this role, we’re looking for someone who is:

  • · MBBS or Equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsych
  • · Full GMC registration with license to practice
  • · Registered on the specialist register
  • · Experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health issues
  • · Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice
  • · Committed to continued professional development

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Performing comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • · Leading ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and care reviews.
  • · Overseeing clinical management of complex cases, particularly those involving risk or challenging behaviour.
  • · Supporting patients and families through treatment decisions, relapse prevention, and recovery pathways.
  • · Providing mentorship, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • · Driving quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and national standards.
  • · Collaborating with site leadership to ensure efficient service delivery and patient satisfaction.
