This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded firm with a care department that has been a key part of the practice for over 200 years. You’ll work alongside a well-respected Head of Department, taking on a caseload of care matters while also supporting the supervision of the team.

With the firm planning for the future, this role offers a clear pathway to Head of Department and Equity Partner status. You’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with key contacts, including guardians introduced through the current Head of Department, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality work.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a solicitor with:

  • 3+ years’ PQE in care law.
  • A background in private practice, representing individuals.
  • Panel membership (desirable) or a willingness to work towards it (essential).
  • A commercially aware mindset with strong client care skills.

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary with a lucrative bonus scheme:
    • 5% of salary once you exceed target.
    • 25% of salary for exceeding target by 20%.
    • Bonus caps out at 40% of salary.
  • Flexible working – three days in the office, two from home.
  • 25 days’ holiday (3-5 days to be used over Christmas) plus bank holidays.
