An exciting opportunity has risen for a substantive, 0.8 PA consultant psychiatrist post in the Lewisham Perinatal Community Mental Health Service.
The successful candidate will work with other members of the specialist Lewisham perinatal service team to deliver high quality, safe, evidence-based care and to support service innovations, quality improvements and clinical research in perinatal psychiatry within SLaM, sharing strong clinical leadership within the team.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and consultant input into the Lewisham Perinatal Team.
- Assess patients, devise treatment plans, and provide prompt medical responses for those under direct care.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care; support service innovations, quality improvements, and clinical research in perinatal psychiatry within SLaM.
- Work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team, including providing clinical and educational supervision to junior medical staff.
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the strategic aims of the Perinatal Community Services.
