About the Role

We’re looking for a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer with a strong infrastructure background who uses DevOps and automation to improve the reliability, security, and delivery of on‑premise systems.

This is not a cloud‑only DevOps role. You’ll be working primarily with on‑prem infrastructure, virtualisation, Windows Server and Linux environments, applying DevOps principles to traditional infrastructure to drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build, configure, and maintain on‑prem virtual infrastructure, servers, and environments
  • Administer and support Windows Server and Linux systems in a corporate environment
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and release processes
  • Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Jenkins, Git
  • Manage and review security baselines, patching, and vulnerability remediation
  • Collaborate with developers and engineers to ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and fit for purpose
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement fixes effectively
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base content
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide accurate technical input and updates to stakeholders

Essential Skills & Experience

Hands‑on Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022)

Strong Linux system administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu or similar)

Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Nutanix

Proven experience implementing DevOps practices in an infrastructure environment

CI/CD tooling experience (e.g. Jenkins, Git, Artifactory)

Infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible)

Strong understanding of on‑prem infrastructure and data centre environments

Comfortable working to security standards and best practice
