The post-holder will participate in sessions at both Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital, Stafford, providing a dermatology service for the population of Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. Responsibilities include all aspects of diagnosis, management and treatment while ensuring the proper functioning of the department.

Main Duties

The successful applicant will join a current team of five including one Consultant, four Senior Medical Practitioners, dedicated dermatology nurses and Clinical Nurse Specialists. They will play a part in the Skin MDT, working closely with oncology and histopathology units, and will be involved in outpatient clinics, theatre sessions and ward rounds at both sites, including a minor operating procedure suite at County Hospital.

Responsibilities

Person Specification

Essential

• Full GMC Registration
• MRCP (UK) or equivalent
• Clinical training experience equivalent to UK CCT
• Expertise in full range of dermatological conditions
• Experience in skin surgery
• Ability to lead a multi‑professional team
• Independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
• Sub‑specialty interest in dermatology

Desirable

• Other higher degree or diploma (e.g., MD)
