MOT Technician (Class 4 & 7) Heavy Mechanical Work Included Location: Telford Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum We are looking for an experienced and reliable MOT Technician (Class 4 & 7) to join our busy and growing workshop.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who not only holds a valid MOT testing licence but is also confident carrying out major mechanical repairs .

Key Responsibilities Conduct MOT tests to DVSA standards on Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles Carry out vehicle inspections and identify mechanical faults Complete a wide range of repairs including: Gearbox replacements and repairs Wet belt replacements Clutch replacements General servicing and mechanical work Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard Maintain accurate job records and MOT documentation Follow health & safety procedures and workshop best practices Working Hours Monday Thursday: 08:00 17:30 Friday: 08:00 16:15 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Requirements Valid Class 4 & 7 MOT Tester licence Minimum Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent) Proven experience in heavy mechanical repairs (gearboxes, clutches, wet belts essential) Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving xwzovoh licence Good time management and attention to detail What We Offer Competitive salary based on skills and experience Stable, full-time position in a well-equipped workshop Supportive team environment Opportunities for ongoing training and development If you are a skilled MOT Tester who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and is confident tackling major mechanical jobs, wed love to hear from you.
