Areti Group are exclusively supporting a rapidly scaling SaaS business as they hire two Product Domain Directors to support the next phase of growth — forecast at ~45% this year.
This is not a delivery-heavy Product Director role.
It is a true domain ownership position, reporting into the Chief Product Officer, with accountability for strategy, outcomes, people, and narrative across a major product area.
The Role – In One Line
You will own a product domain end-to-end: setting strategy, leading senior product leaders, aligning stakeholders, and delivering measurable business and customer outcomes.
What You’ll Be Accountable For
As a Product Domain Director, you will:
Own domain strategy and direction
- Turn ambiguity into clear priorities and product narrative
- Define what not to do as much as what to invest in
- Ensure teams are solving the right problems, not just shipping features
Lead discovery at scale
- Embed strong discovery practices across teams
- Balance qualitative insight, data, and experimentation
- Move the organisation away from opinion-led roadmaps
Act as the internal authority for your domain
- Represent your domain credibly with execs and senior stakeholders
- Align Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Operations around outcomes
- Own commercial and operational impact — not just delivery
Lead and develop senior product people
- Coach Product Leads and Managers of PMs
- Set the bar for modern product craft and decision-making
- Build calm, confident leadership capability across your domain
Stay close to execution
- Understand delivery realities and constraints
- Make informed trade-offs under pressure
- Ensure predictable, outcome-led execution without process theatre
What We’re Looking For
This role suits experienced product leaders who demonstrate:
- Experience in empowered product teams
- Outcome-led thinking (not output or feature factories)
- Strong problem framing, prioritisation, and trade-offs
- Acting as the accountable owner for a product area
- Comfort owning not only why, but also what
- Ability to shape strategy, narrative, and stakeholder alignment
Credible leadership at scale
- Experience leading senior PMs or large product teams
- Calm, confident presence with exec stakeholders
- Evidence of coaching, developing, and raising the bar
Comfort with complexity
- Background in B2B SaaS, regulated, or high-trust environments
- Platforms with real-world operational impact
- Scale and ambiguity don’t intimidate you — you create clarity

- Are primarily delivery- or project-management led
- Focus mainly on internal tools or low-complexity platforms
- Struggle to articulate product impact beyond outputs
