11kV Senior Authorised Persons – Switchgear & Transformer Replacements – Long Term Contracts – Outside IR35 – North of England – ASAP Start

We are working in partnership with a successful subcontractor who are seeking experienced 11kV Senior Authorised Persons to support a long term programme of substation refurbishment works, with a strong focus on switchgear replacements and transformer change outs across the North of England.

Responsibilities:

• Act as Senior Authorised Person for all 11kV operations, ensuring Safety from the System at all times.
• Plan, prepare and execute HV switching schedules to facilitate switchgear and transformer replacements.
• Carry out and oversee 11kV switching, isolations, earthing and restoration activities.
• Manage transformer removals, installations and commissioning interfaces.
• Oversee switchgear change outs, upgrades and substation refurbishment works.
• Prepare, issue and control safety documentation and permits in line with DNO procedures.
• Develop, review and implement RAMs for high-risk switching and lifting activities.
• Maintain clear communication with the control room, site teams and contractors throughout outages.

Requirements:

• 11kV Senior Authorised Person under a UK DNO.
• Must be a full SAP with no limitations.
• Strong, demonstrable experience delivering HV switching.
• Proven background in substation works, specifically switchgear and transformer replacements.
• Based in, or willing to travel across, the North of England.
• Full UK driving license.
