A long-established precision engineering manufacturer is strengthening its Quality function as it moves from complex small-batch work into more stable, repeat production.
They supply high-integrity, close-tolerance components into sectors where quality genuinely matters, including Automotive, Aerospace, Defence and wider advanced manufacturing. With an upturn in workload and a shift in how the business operates, they are investing in the future of their Quality department.
The long-term aim of this role is to develop into leading the Quality function, allowing the current Senior Quality Manager to step away from day-to-day firefighting and into a more strategic role as the business continues to grow.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the shift from small-batch to stable, higher-volume manufacturing
- Leading QSHE / ESHQ activities with a strong process focus
- Creating and maintaining FMEAs, Control Plans, control provisions and work instructions
- Managing control validation (SPC & MSA) to ensure robust, capable processes
- Interpreting validation data and presenting clear, objective insights to support decision-making
- Handling exceptions, containment, root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Supporting FAIRs, NCR management and continuous improvement activity
- Working closely with the Senior Quality Manager and gaining exposure across EH&S
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in APQP within a volume automotive setting or similarly structured environment
Strong understanding of core Quality Tools: FMEA, APQP, Control Plans, MSA, SPC
- Exposure to regulated manufacturing (Aerospace, Medical, high-precision machining) is highly beneficial
- Someone who enjoys structured, process-driven quality work and can adapt to higher throughput
- Confident analysing data and presenting it clearly xwzovoh and objectively
- A proactive mindset, keen to develop new skills and continuously improve processes
