Sustainability Lead

Our client a globally leading Sustainability Lead to join our client on an exciting project.

This is an initial three to four year fixed term contract based in Torness, East Lothian Role Responsibilities: Contribute to the daily execution and refinement of sustainability initiatives on a major construction site.

Demonstrate understanding of Life Cycle Assessment methodologies and Whole Life Carbon accounting.

Assist in the creation and ongoing review of the Carbon Management Plan.

Track and report emissions across Scope 1, 2, and 3 categories.

Deliver toolbox talks and briefings focused on sustainability and carbon reduction.

Help measure and analyse sustainability indicators such as carbon output, waste levels, and energy usage.

Work with the Sustainability Manager to compile stakeholder reports.

Collect and organise data to support sustainability-related decision-making.

Engage with contractors and subcontractors to encourage participation in environmental programmes.

Aid in the design and facilitation of sustainability training for site staff.

Keep informed of new developments, technologies, and best practices in sustainable construction.

Conduct weekly site audits to assess sustainability compliance.

Assist in achieving project-specific sustainability KPIs.

Requirements: Engineering related or environmental discipline degree.

Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

Proactive attitude.

A valid driving license and access to personal transport are required for site travel. xwzovoh

Seven to ten years relevant experience.
